Hello everyone, I’m Xiao Chen, a developer at DEVR Tech, and today I want to share the difference between a Website and a Web App with you.
A Website, also commonly referred to as a site, is something we’re all very familiar with.
The main purpose of a Website is to provide information, displaying content such as text, images, and videos. It generally offers limited interactivity.
A Corporate Landing Page is also a type of Website.
Common examples include news websites, company homepages/introduction sites, and e-commerce sites.
So, what exactly is a Web App?
A Web App, also known as a web application, primarily allows users to interact, such as performing tasks, shopping online, or engaging in social activities. In simple terms, it’s like an app on a website.
Common examples include JPJ Ebid, company web-based CMS/CRM systems, or account management systems.
I hope this brief introduction helps you understand the difference between a Website and a Web App. If you have any questions or want to learn more, feel free to reach out and chat with us!
